- Plans will deliver much needed new housing supply to Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown area
- Approval adds to over 700 homes under construction in Cherrywood Village
- Breaking ground later this year and first homes ready in late 2023
Quintain Ireland has received planning permission from Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council for 169 new homes at its Cherrywood Village development in South Dublin. Quintain intends to commence construction in June with the first homes ready for occupation late 2023.
The 169 new homes – a combination of 1 & 2 bed apartments, 3-bed duplexes and 2, 3 & 4 bedroom houses will be within walking distance to Laughanstown LUAS station, and close to Tully Park, Cherrywood Educate Together National School, and a new secondary school. Quintain plans to deliver a total of 1,300 new homes at Cherrywood Village by 2025.
Along with the new homes there is provision for over 1,000 m² of communal amenity space for residents across a series landscaped spaces with play areas provided for children.
Cherrywood Village aims to be the most connected village in Ireland and is located on a 65-acre site within the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone (SDZ). It includes 27 acres of green space, and over 4,300m² of retail and civic amenities. It is also located close to major employers like Vodafone and Microsoft in Sandyford, and Dell and Elavon in Cherrywood Science and Technology Park.
Quintain has received over 10,000 expressions of interest from prospective residents since launching Cherrywood Village in October 2020.

Quintain is also progressing construction on a €500m urban centre in Adamstown, which will include 279 apartments, as part of their plans to deliver over 9,000 homes around the greater Dublin area.
