Background

Quintain is one of the largest mixed-use developers in Ireland, with landbanks across Dublin including Adamstown, Cherrywood, Clonburris and Portmarnock. We are currently looking for a financial accountant to join our finance team and manage Quintain Construction accounts. This role will be based between Head office and our Site offices.

Key Accountabilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Develop and oversee financial budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans for the company.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team based on financial analysis.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial metrics to the executive team.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards.
  • Prepare statutory financial reports and manage the annual company audit process.
  • Responsible for statutory Revenue returns including VAT, RCT, CT & PAYE

Cash Flow Management

  • Manage cash flow to ensure the availability of funds for ongoing operations.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Internal Controls

  • Main contact point with the Company Secretary for all company compliance and annual returns

Financial Systems and Processes

  • Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Identify opportunities for automation and optimization of financial processes.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor QCC team providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CPA (or equivalent) with ideally 5+ years PQE.
  • Ideally experience in a similar role within the construction industry or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial management software (4PS/Dynamics preferable) and Microsoft Excel.
